Tip of the Day: In Microsoft D365 Finance and Supply Change (D365 F&SC), when entering a Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, or Sales Order, if you have the Project ID field populated AND if you don’t have a Project Category on the Released Item, you will get the error "Field category must filled in".

Solution: Populate the Project Category field on the released Item.
